Carlson 3D Modeling for Machine Control class will include instruction on the Carlson Takeoff Module (Construction, Geotechnical, Trenching, CADNet). We will cover basic “elevate” and other grading tools and build and edit a proposed site design from a typical PDF drawing set.
Class Topics Include:
• 3D Data and “elevate” tools
• Site, pad, and pond grading
• Multiple surface file edits/merges
• Simple roadway design
• Earthwork quantities and materials
• Visualization
• Data prep for machine control
