Two Day Training Course | 13 PDH Credits | Carlson Fundamentals will include instruction on the core production and drafting tools common to all Carlson modules, plus introductory instruction on processes involved in typical civil and survey workflows.
Topics include:

• Inquiry and settings routines
• Terrain modeling
• Center line development
• Profiling functions
• Annotation commands
Two Day Training Course | 13 PDH Credits | Carlson Survey will include instruction on the Survey module, including specialized tools and techniques for typical land surveying workflows.
Topics include:

• Field to Finish, Map Prep
• Coordinate Geometry (COGO)
• Generate points for staking/design
• Deed Processing
• Property layout computations, areas, inverses, etc.
• Basic traverse adjustment and balancing
• Analyze surface data in 3D, TINs/Grids
• Parcel Development
• Layout and Annotation

Two Day Training Course | 13 PDH Credits | Carlson Civil will focus in detail on typical civil engineering workflows including surface modeling, site development/grading and roadway design.
Topics include:
• Basic grading commands
• Elevating design entities
• Generate 3D surfaces, analyze surface data in 3D, TINs/Grids
• Site layout, design and interpretation
• Earthwork takeoffs
• Create existing and proposed ground profiles
• Roadway design, including RoadNET™
• Centerlines, profiles, design templates, cross–sections
• Volumes and materials takeoffs
• Pond grading
• Advanced grading techniques
One Day Training Course | 6.5 PDH Credits | In this SurvCE course you will learn how to configure SurvCE, configure field equipment, how to optimize the SurvCE experience in the field and how to transfer your data into and out of the office environment.
Topics include:
• File management & settings
• Configuring Survey Equipment
• Basic Survey and Data Collection Tasks
• Traversing, Side-shots, GPS
• Stakeout
• Mapping in the Field (Field–to–Finish)
• Moving Your Data to/form the Office
• Additional Data Collection (GIS, etc)
One Day Training Course | 6.5 PDH Credits | Carlson Hydro will include basic instruction on the Carlson HYDRO module. We will cover two main aspects, HYDROLOGY (rainfall/runoff) and HYDRAULICS (piping).
Topics include:
• File management & settings
• Watershed analysis
• Runoff tracking
• Detention ponds
• Independent (non–networked) structures (channels, culverts, etc.)
• Utility (non–sewer) networks
• Structure and pipe libraries
• Pipe networks
• Plan/Profile/3D Model generation
Two Day Training Course | 13 PDH Credits | Carlson 3D MC instruction will include instruction on the Carlson Takeoff Module (Construction, Geotechnical, Trenching, CADNet). We will cover basic “elevate” and other grading tools and build and edit a proposed site design from a typical PDF drawing set.
Topics include:

• 3D Data and “elevate” tools
• Site, pad, and pond grading
• Multiple surface file edits/merges
• Simple roadway design
• Advanced SiteNET® design
• Earthwork quantities and materials
